Mary Maloney
Crazy or sane?
Mary Maloney is most definitely crazy. The reason I believe this is because in the beginning of the story she’s saying how devoted & loving she is to Patrick, then when he comes home & says he wants a divorce she kills him. Then she starts rehearsing the lie that she didn’t kill him. She goes to the grocery store and buys some potatoes, a can of beans, and a piece of cheese cake. The grocer, Sam, didn’t see a single slaw in Mrs. Maloney’s act, if he had he would’ve said something. While Mrs. Maloney was heading home she had herself convinced that she hadn’t killed Patrick, she even cried when she saw his body. When Mrs. Maloney finished crying she called the police & told them Patrick was dead. The entire time the detectives & police where there she played “innocent heartbroken wife.” She even convinced the to eat the now cooked, frozen leg of lamb she used to murder her husband with. This is why I believe Mary Maloney is crazy.
